Movement Center Pewaukee

Vanessa Washicheck

Vanessa practiced ballet and modern dance from a young age and was always in love with the graceful fluidity and artistic expression of dancing, but suffered an injury as a teen.   Vanessa views Pilates as an experience reminiscent of dancing, with an artistic flow that moves like a choreographed dance; but one that is more accessible with a special emphasis on caring for yourself while building strength and awareness in both body and mind.  Pilates allows individuals of all ages, fitness level, or history of injury to establish a practice of improving body functions both inside and out.  Vanessa works with a prominent desire to become strong in her own body and practice, gratefully sharing the practice with others in their own personal journey towards a happier and healthier lifestyle.

Vanessa has worked for Madison School and Community Recreation for the past six years and currently oversees the after-school programming at Midvale Elementary as a Recreation Specialist.  Her love of teaching music and movement to children is met with gratitude and fulfillment in the relationships formed with her students, staff and colleagues.  Vanessa has been teaching Pilates and Barre classes at the Movement Center Pewaukee for the past year.

Vanessa has studied under the direction of Ronda Arndorfer, owner of the Movement Center Pewaukee and Pilates Center graduate for the past year, completing a comprehensive 450 hour training program. In addition to completing a 40 hour apprenticeship with Kathleen Conklin of Pilate Spa in Madison, she has also completed training at Gourmet Pilates in Chicago, IL in the Barre method.  She loves the challenge of providing non-dancers the excitement and rewarding experience that comes with finding the dancer within all of us!
