Jessica Vertz is an NCBTMB certified massage therapist. In 2008, Jessica attended Windemere Institute of Healing Arts in Decorah, Iowa. There, she completed a sixteen month program where she studied massage therapy and the in-depth principals associated with massage. At Windemere, Jessica worked on applying principles of anatomy and physiology, pathology, kinesiology, and techniques for relaxation. She received training in deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, circulatory massage, sensory repatterning, pregnancy massage, Tui Na, Sati Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi and Thai massage.
Tui Na is an invigorating Chinese method which includes reflexology points. Sensory Repatterning incorporates gentle rocking and passive movement to increase range of motion. Lomi Lomi is a deeply circulatory Hawaiian method which nourishes and relaxes muscle tissue. Shiatsu is a modality designed to move around lymph fluid and improve immune function. Jessica practices deep tissue massage patiently and with just the right amount of pressure to relieve knots in muscles. Neuromuscular therapy focuses on releasing trigger points.
It is important to receive massage regularly to relieve stress, and integrate changes in the soft tissue.
During each session, you can expect a massage that is crafted to suit your needs, using techniques from the most effective modalities.
